Tips & Information - Quality Linen
A highly prized and expensive fabric, quality linen is usually treated with sizing, a process that gives the fibers more body. Usually, this sizing will be removed in the dry cleaning process. If your garment is genuine linen, make sure your cleaner knows this so that the sizing can be restored. Your cleaner may also be able to give your linen a professional pressing that will restore it like-new condition. Your fine linens should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from dust and moisture. Like silk, genuine linen has delicate fibers that are easily destroyed with rough treatment. |
